Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions Lucy hears most. If yours isn’t here, send a WhatsApp message and she will get back to you.

Getting started

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. Every injectable treatment starts with a consultation so Lucy can understand your goals, check your medical history and make sure the treatment is safe and suitable for you. Consultations are free and take around 15 minutes.

How do I book?

You can book any treatment or a free consultation online through Fresha at any time. If you would rather talk first, message Lucy on WhatsApp on 07720 266733.

Where is the clinic?

7 Woodlands Park, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 1AG. Parking is available. The clinic is a short drive from Weybridge, Woking, Chertsey, Byfleet and Pyrford.

Is Lucy qualified and insured?

Yes. Lucy is a fully qualified and insured aesthetics practitioner. You are welcome to ask about her training at your consultation.

Is there a minimum age?

You must be 18 or over for any injectable treatment. Photo ID may be requested.

Who shouldn’t have injectable treatments?

Treatment isn’t suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection in the area or have certain medical conditions or allergies. Lucy will go through this with you at consultation. Please tell her about any medication you take.

Anti-wrinkle injections

How long until I see results?

Most people notice a difference within 3 to 5 days. The full result shows at around two weeks.

How long do results last?

Usually 3 to 4 months. This varies from person to person and can depend on your metabolism, the area treated and how strong the muscles are.

Will I look frozen?

Lucy’s approach is to soften lines while keeping natural movement. The dose is tailored to you and can be adjusted at your review if needed.

What is the free review?

Area treatments include a free review at around two weeks. Lucy checks your result and can make small adjustments where appropriate.

What aftercare should I follow?
  • Stay upright for four hours
  • Avoid touching or massaging the area for the rest of the day
  • Skip exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours
  • Avoid facials and make-up on the area until the next day

You will receive full written aftercare on the day.

Dermal filler

Does lip filler hurt?

Most clients find it very manageable. Lucy can apply numbing cream and the filler itself contains a local anaesthetic, so the area becomes numb as she works.

How long will swelling last?

Lips are usually most swollen for the first 24 to 72 hours. Most swelling settles within a week. The final result shows at around two weeks.

How long does filler last?

Lip filler usually lasts 6 to 9 months. Cheek and chin filler can last 9 to 12 months or longer. Everyone breaks it down at a different rate.

Can filler be reversed?

Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if ever needed. This is one reason Lucy only uses hyaluronic acid fillers.

Will it look natural?

That is always the aim. Lucy works with your natural shape and will advise on a sensible amount. You can build gradually over time.

Can I have filler before an event?

Book at least two weeks before so any swelling or bruising has time to settle. Four weeks gives even more breathing room.

Skin care

What is the difference between a skin booster and filler?

Filler adds shape and volume to a specific area. Skin boosters improve the quality of the skin itself by hydrating it and supporting collagen. They do not change the shape of your face.

Which skin booster is right for me?

It depends on your skin. Hydration-focused boosters such as Profhilo, Jalupro and Seventy Hyal suit dull or dehydrated skin. Polynucleotides such as Plenhyage XL Strong and Nucleofill suit skin that needs repair, for example sun damage, scarring or crepey under-eyes. Lucy will recommend one at consultation.

How many sessions will I need?

Most boosters work best as a course of two to four sessions, spaced a few weeks apart. Maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months help keep results.

Is there downtime?

You may see small bumps at the injection points for a few hours up to a day or two. Some people have mild redness or bruising. Most people return to normal plans straight away.
